Колишні актори Юрій і Володимир Торсуєви, відомі мільйонам за ролі у дитячому радянському фільмі «Пригоди Електроніка», заявили про свою участь у війні проти України на боці Росії. Брати-близнюки, які зіграли головних героїв — повідомили російським ЗМІ, що нині мають звання «генералів» у складі одного з козацьких формувань, які діють у межах так званої «спеціальної військової операції». Юрій Торсуєв зазначив, що козацькі підрозділи беруть участь у бойових, гуманітарних та інформаційних операціях на Донбасі ще з 2014 року. За його словами, вони з братом «виконують накази командування» і координують роботу добровольців у зоні бойових дій. Володимир Торсуєв додав, що попри наявність родичів в Україні, вони не підтримують із ними зв’язку «з міркувань безпеки», але заявив: «Коли ми прийдемо до Києва, ми знайдемо їх, обіймемо і скажемо: “Дочекалися!”». Ці слова викликали хвилю обурення в українському та міжнародному сегменті соцмереж. Користувачі X і Facebook називають поведінку акторів цинічною, а їхню участь у війні — «символом деградації пострадянського культурного спадку». Брати Торсуєви вже потрапляли до бази українського сайту «Миротворець» у 2018 році через поїздки до окупованих Донецька та Луганська. Однак публічне зізнання у прямій військовій участі, та ще й у статусі «генералів», стало новим шоком для багатьох шанувальників фільму 1980-х років.

"Elektronik" Brothers Announce Participation in War in Ukraine
Former actors Yuriy and Volodymyr Torsuyev, known to millions for their roles in the Soviet children’s film The Adventures of Elektronik, have announced their involvement in the war against Ukraine on the side of Russia. The twin brothers, who played the film’s main characters, told Russian media that they currently hold the rank of “generals” in a Cossack formation operating as part of the so-called “special military operation.” Yuriy Torsuyev stated that Cossack units have been involved in combat, humanitarian, and informational operations in the Donbas region since 2014. According to him, he and his brother “follow orders from the command” and coordinate the work of volunteers in active combat zones. Volodymyr Torsuyev added that, despite having relatives in Ukraine, they do not maintain contact with them “for safety reasons,” but declared: “When we come to Kyiv, we will find them, hug them, and say, ‘You waited long enough!’” These remarks sparked a wave of outrage on Ukrainian and international social media. Users on X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook have described the actors’ behavior as cynical, with many calling their participation in the war “a symbol of the decline of the post-Soviet cultural legacy.” The Torsuyev brothers had previously been added to the Ukrainian Myrotvorets (Peacemaker) database in 2018 due to visits to the occupied cities of Donetsk and Luhansk. However, their public admission of direct military involvement—especially while claiming the status of “generals”—has come as a new shock to many fans of the iconic 1980s film.
"The Adventures of Elektronik" is a cult Soviet children's sci-fi adventure film, released in 1979 and directed by Konstantin Bromberg at the Odesa Film Studio. The story follows a boy-robot named Elektronik, created by a scientist to look exactly like an ordinary schoolboy, Sergey Syroezhkin. Elektronik escapes from the laboratory and ends up at a school, where he takes the place of his human "double." However, it soon becomes clear that without real emotions and friendship, he is just a machine. Throughout their adventures, the boys switch places, make friends, and learn how to be themselves. The film consists of three episodes and became immensely popular across the Soviet Union.
